At the 8th International AIXR XR Awards, we’ve added sub-categories to highlight specific skills and innovations in XR. XR Accolades are special honors given in these subcategories based on merit and the judges' decisions.

Here’s what you need to know:

What Are XR Accolades?

  • Not Guaranteed: You can't apply for an accolade, and not everyone gets one. They’re awarded based on the entry's quality and how well it stands out in a sub-category.

  • Specific Recognition: Each accolade is tied to a particular sub-category, like ‘XR Healthcare: Patient Education,’ and highlights excellence in that area.

  • Excellence, Not Winning: Getting an accolade means your entry is exceptional in its category, but it doesn’t mean you’ve won the main category.

Why Sub-Categories and Accolades?

  • Focused Recognition: Sub-categories let judges recognize specific strengths or innovations, even if your project doesn’t win the main category.

  • Encourages Specialization: It pushes entrants to excel in particular areas of their projects.

Tips for Finalists

  1. Pick Your Best Area: Choose the sub-category where your project shines the most.

  2. Be Clear and Specific: Make your submission focused on why your project is great in that specific area. Use examples.

  3. Stand Out: Your goal is to impress the judges with exceptional work in your chosen sub-category.

How Judges Recommend an Accolade

  1. Look for Merit: Judges look for entries that excel in specific areas.

  2. Spot the Standouts: Identify what makes an entry unique or innovative.

  3. Justify Your Choice: When recommending an accolade, explain why the entry deserves it.

Conclusion

XR Accolades are about recognizing specialized excellence. Judges should use them to spotlight standout projects, and finalists should aim to be distinct and impressive in their chosen areas.
